Sales tax
Sales tax is added at checkout where required by law.
State and local laws
Check your state and local laws before you order. It is your responsibility to confirm that you may legally own, possess, and receive any firearm or other item before you buy it or send it to us for work.
Service orders
- Service orders include round-trip insured UPS shipping, charged at checkout with your service. After you check out, we email you a prepaid UPS shipping label and packing instructions (you provide the box), and we ship your item back to you by insured UPS when the work is done. Ship only what is listed on your order, plus one empty magazine if magazines are not part of your order.
- Cerakote prices for pistols include full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, surface prep, final clean and lubrication, reassembly, fitting, and a function check (no live fire). Please send the complete firearm, even when only the slide or frame is being coated, so we can make sure tolerances stay right and the pistol fits and cycles properly.
- Custom work, quoted work, and prices marked “starting at” are confirmed with you in writing (by email or text) before any work begins. Quoted work is paid by invoice, and we must receive your payment before work begins.
- Turnaround times are targets, counted from the day your item arrives, not guarantees. Special-order Cerakote colors may add 2 to 3 days. Please choose your color before you ship so we can have it on hand.
- Colors can look different on screens, in catalogs, and on different materials. Small variations in color and texture are normal and are not defects.
- We may decline any work, including work that would be unlawful or unsafe, or on an item that arrives damaged or not as described. If we decline work after your item is in our possession, we refund your service charge in full, return your item at our cost, and charge no restocking or cancellation fee.
- Your order price covers everything listed for the service you chose. The only extra charges are round-trip UPS shipping and, if your item arrives excessively dirty and needs extra cleaning before it can be coated, an extra cleaning fee starting at $39.99. If, after we receive your item, we find it needs extra cleaning or other work that was not part of your order (such as a repair), we tell you the cost in writing (by email or text) before doing anything, and we must receive your payment before that work begins. If you decline and the order cannot go ahead, we keep 25% of the service price as a cancellation fee, refund the rest of the service price, and return your item using the return shipping included in your order.
- We are not responsible for wear, damage, or defects that existed before your item reached us.
Shipping
We ship firearms to all states, including California. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, or other U.S. territories. For Alaska or Hawaii, choose the matching shipping option at checkout.
We do not use the United States Postal Service (USPS), and we do not recommend that customers use USPS to ship any items to or from anywhere. Orders ship by UPS as our first choice or FedEx as our second choice. Shipping charges are shown at checkout.
Firearm purchases that ship to an FFL: before you buy, make sure your chosen FFL will receive the firearm for you. Show your FFL the firearm you plan to buy, and once they confirm they will receive it, place your order. If your FFL does not accept the firearm for any reason and it is returned to us, the return is subject to the restocking charge described under Returns and cancellations.
Magazine removal for state compliance
If your state or local laws require magazines to be removed, tell us before or at the time you pay for your order. Requests received after payment may arrive too late, and the magazine(s) may already have shipped. Email webcontact@lightningarmory.com or call 512.838.3400. Magazines cannot be exchanged or substituted; we can only remove them.
Returns and cancellations
We stand behind the accuracy of our descriptions and work to make sure your order arrives as described. However, all items are sold as-is, and returns are not accepted. We do not accept returns of firearms.
If an order must come back to us for another reason, such as your inability to take legal possession of a firearm, the return is subject to a 25% restocking charge, plus the cost of the return shipping label. To start a return, email webcontact@lightningarmory.com or call 512.838.3400.
Once an order is placed, it usually cannot be cancelled. When a cancellation is possible, a cancellation fee of 25% applies to cover processing charges. Service orders cannot be cancelled once work has begun. Please do not rely on email to cancel an order: call us at 512.838.3400 for immediate service.
Your positive experience is our number one goal, so please contact us if we can help.

Disclaimer of liability
Important legal notice to customers.
1. Inspection and condition disclosure. Lightning Armory, including its employees, agents, affiliates, and assigns (“Seller”), visually inspects all firearms, ammunition, and related products and items (“Products”) before sale or return to the customer. While every effort is made to accurately describe the condition of each Product, the Seller does not test-fire firearms or test ammunition for performance, reliability, or safety. The Seller provides this information to the best of its ability, based solely on a visual inspection, and makes no guarantees regarding the operation, safety, or reliability of any Product beyond what is visible to the eye. The customer expressly acknowledges that the Seller and its representatives are not responsible for any defects, latent or otherwise, or other issues that may exist in a Product, including defects that could result in serious injury, disability, or death. By proceeding with an order, the customer agrees to have any firearm inspected by a qualified, licensed, and competent gunsmith before any use, and to visually inspect all ammunition for damage, corrosion, improper seating, or other defects before use. The Seller is not liable for any damages or personal injuries arising from the customer’s failure to follow this recommendation or from any issues discovered during such an inspection. A thorough inspection by a qualified gunsmith or armorer before use is strongly recommended, especially for used or vintage firearms.
2. Assumption of risk. By ordering, purchasing, sending in for service, or accepting transfer or return of any Product from ARMRGoods, LLC dba Lightning Armory, the customer acknowledges and agrees that the use or misuse of firearms and ammunition carries inherent risks, including serious injury, disability, death, and property damage. These risks exist regardless of the condition of the Product, and the customer willingly assumes full responsibility for them.
3. No warranty: sold “as is.” All Products are sold “as is” and “with all faults.” The Seller makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, concerning the safety, quality, or suitability of any Product for any purpose, and expressly disclaims all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Customer’s due diligence and responsibility. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to make sure a Product is legal to own and possess in their jurisdiction, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws on firearm and ammunition ownership. Before use, the customer must have the Product inspected and certified as safe by a qualified, licensed, and competent gunsmith or armorer. The customer assumes all responsibility for the safe handling, use, storage, and transportation of the Product.
5. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Seller, its owners, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and assigns from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to the purchase, service, ownership, possession, use, misuse, or malfunction of the Product. The Seller is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to the sale, service, transfer, use, or misuse of the Product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Release of liability and agreement to pursue other parties. By proceeding with an order, the customer releases the Seller from any and all liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, for any injuries, damages, or losses of any kind arising from or related to the Product. In the event of a claim, lawsuit, or legal action arising from or related to the Product, the customer agrees to first pursue remedies against any third parties involved in the production, manufacturing, distribution, sale, or repair of the Product, including the manufacturer, previous owners, or other service providers, before taking any action against the Seller. Completing a purchase is full agreement to these terms.
7. No liability for defects. The Seller is not responsible for any defects, latent or otherwise, in the Product, including manufacturing or design defects, or any damages resulting from them. The customer acknowledges that a Product may have unknown faults and that the Seller cannot be held liable for issues that arise after the sale or service, particularly for used or pre-owned Products.
8. Legal compliance. The customer agrees to comply with these terms. The customer certifies that they are legally eligible to purchase and possess the Product and are not prohibited by federal, state, or local law from owning firearms or ammunition. The Seller makes no representations regarding the legality of any Product in the customer’s jurisdiction.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction. These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or from a purchase or service shall be resolved exclusively in the state courts of Bastrop County, Texas, and the customer consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.
10. Severability. If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision may be severed without affecting the enforceability of the remaining provisions, which continue in full force and effect.
11. Entire agreement. These terms are the entire agreement between the customer and the Seller on this subject and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
Acceptance of terms. By placing an order, sending an item to us, or accepting delivery of a Product, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all of these terms and conditions.
